Saving map for offline usage

Hi, i am pretty new to this game but i have noticed that the app almost instantly forgets the map data that it have downloaded and therefore have an insane draw on the data line,
i suggest that the developers look into features that could save the map for offline view, just like google maps so that it perhaps would be possible to download the most of the map data from home on wifi.
It would be even better if it was possible to use the existing offline files from the google maps application to save space and already have the map that has been viewed in the other application

I have noticed expert mode, but I find it a lot nicer to have the map, just to give a better idea of distance

Caching of map tiles is a planned feature for one of the next releases of the app. Not before the Bonanza though!
