Basel - one city, three countries

Post by Empressjojo »

Basel

Basel is a beautiful city on the river Rhine, located right where Switzerland, Germany and France meet, with parts of the city in each country.

Basel doesn't currently have any zones, but if zones were added strategically, one could potentially turf in three different countries in one afternoon just by walking:)
Like Treriksröset, where Sweden, Norway and Finland meet, but perhaps a bit more accessible.

Places for potential zones:

Swiss part:
Basler Münster (big medieval cathedral)
Zoologischer Garten Basel (Basel zoo)

German part:
Rheinpark

French part:
Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Airport

France & Germany:
Passerelle des Trois Pays (translation: walking bridge of three countries).

I hope you find this suggestion interesting:)

I like it! Are there perhaps similar places where you can do this other than Treriksröset?
