Zone request for Oban and surrounding areas

Hi!

Oban has quite an active orienteering club - EckO - (and I go there to see family!) so I think it deserves more zones (currently 3 in Oban, 1 in nearby Dunbeg and 5 in Connel). I've suggested a number of zones in Oban, the road to Ganavan Beach and cycle path to Dunbeg, cycle path from Connel to Benderloch and some nice walks/hills. I'll continue to suggest more with my suggestion allowance. I've attached a picture with the rough location of zones that I have suggested.

If we get some zones here, I know lots of EckO members and I will suggest to them that they introduce their members to it.

It's also a lovely place for a holiday and gateway to many of the Isles!

Really enjoyed touring these zones last week. I thought some of them had some expert knowledge!

Agreed the area is well worth a visit. There are two out of the way zones: EaglesEyrie in Connel, and HolyTrees in Glencruitten, Oban. Both well worth making the time to visit and the effort.
