Spread the word!

I only just found out about this app after I caught the end of the bbc news report on it. I was wondering how you are getting the word out about it. Maybe some posters and leaflets at bike shops would be an idea of you haven't already done this.

We rely on the active turfers to spread information about it. You could create posters and put them up yourself. If you put up at least 25 posters you can claim a medal for it.

I'm on it. Really enjoying it but my town has only 2 active players. Frustrating that I cannot go for gold but I have my heart set on uk bronze if it kills me.

That's the spirit!
I think I wrote it somewhere, but if you have a effective bike loop in your town, the way to really harvest points from +1 zones is to bike laps with a friend right on your block tail, and then again. Also more fun to turf "with" someone with a common goal than to just be turfers in the same city.

Do you have a flyer design that you could email me so I can print and hand them out?

There is no "official" posters, compose your own aimed for your local area and target group.
There are some community ones in an old post here, but I figure they are mostly in Swedish.
Exotic but not that selling
Here is one example

download.turfgame.com with links to both app stores.

Ok I have been chatting to a few people as I ride around also. Had one new recruit yesterday and they took 1 zone today then stopped lol.

Two ways which usually gets a lot of newbies:
1. Local town newspaper. The are often hungry for odd angles. Turf is very odd.
2. Facebook group(s) for matters/interrests related to local town.

I have already done Facebook although I dont use it much anymore. Local Paper is a good idea. I feel a targeted approach in the field will pay dividends eventually when we have the zone structure locally to compete.

A “standard” poster/QR code to print out and stick out would be really beneficial - I’m not great at design, but I’ll be putting a few out when the weather improves (or I get a laminator/polypockets!). There must be a clever design-Wizz in the Turf Army?!
