Sheffield

Post by cake »

Sheffield is getting busy with turfers now :)

Some more zones would be great. Most of the current players live on the west side of the city, so some more zones in the west of the city and some of the surrounding areas would be brilliant.

Some suggestions:

Ringinglow
53.352940, -1.562988 Top of a steep hill footpath.

Common Lane
53.356071, -1.540146 Quiet open space with tree lined avenue.

Priest Hill
53.354378, -1.545496
Footpath crossing, view of the valley.

CoitLaneBend
53.348784, -1.540352 Lane bend. Linking turf.

Whirlow Farm
53.344899, -1.535020 Lane near popular farm. Linking turf.

PorterClough
53.353278, -1.573598 Small footbridge near the top of a steep stream valley.

Heavygate
53.392669, -1.505599 Small greenspace, good views.

MulehousePark
53.383808, -1.516905 Park, good link turf

Rivelinview
53.387308, -1.518091 Steep footpath. Good link to the valley below.

DobbinHill
53.360610, -1.513295. Link turf.

A whole load of new zones just popped up on the South edge of Sheffield (Beauchief, Totley) and some extras in Dronfield. Thanks!

I've made a few suggestions for additional zones, as follows:

The Limb Valley is a nice route for walkers & runners, but not allowed for cyclists. Other ways to get from Sheffield out to Ringinglow by bike would be either Ringinglow Road or Long Line. These suggestions are linking zones on those roads, which are by bus stops so have some grass area beside the roads.

LongLineUpper: 53.34073852407532, -1.5566731473165376
LongLineLower: 53.33717230202802, -1.5486508820029166
RinginglowRoad: 53.3505042417346, -1.5564565015955574

The new zones around Tore and Totley didn't include the railway station, so I suggest adding that:

DoreTotleyStn: 53.32756509835365, -1.5155520028391443

And Chesterfield has lots of good zones, but the station is missing, so I suggest that:

ChesterfldStn: 53.238424427732156, -1.420148448590052
