Zones in SE Wales

Post by greyza67 »

Living in Monmouth I was pleased to see that there are 2 zones close to the town.
I have repeatedly put in zone requests on the App but to no avail.
Is this the right way to get more zones added?

On another note, there are 2 zones not far away, Tintern and Raglan. Both of these are inside the grounds of ancient monuments, not easy to access without significant payment. I am surprised this is allowed as it effectively stops them becoming popular.

If you see problems with zones, file a report here: https://issues.turfgame.com

That makes sure the right person gets to know about it.

Thanks for the reply.
I have reported 2 local issues.
Now all I need is more local zones.
I guess I persevere on the app?

Hi Greyza67,

Suggesting zones via the app is great if you've put them in an area that a zone maker happens to be looking at for ideas - but it's going to be hit and miss as to if the suggestions are used. If you have suggestions AND it's in an active area (or it's in an area which really should have zones - but there are currently none) AND the zonemaker for that region has spare zones to allocate, then the best way to get a zone made is to post a request in this forum with as much information as possible. Many of the suggestions posted in the forum are acted upon. Some get a very fast response.

Fastest response would probably be for a location of specific interest that would be worth visiting - for example, if Stonehenge didn't already have a zone, then a post in the forum saying "Stonehenge is a very well preserved Neolithic monument of historical interest, here's a photo <insert photo>. It would make a great location for a zone" would stand an excellent chance of a fast response. However a comment of simply "Can I have a zone on Stonehenge" may get a zone, but might not attract the eye of a zonemaker, who has a limited budget of allocated new zones each month.

Here's an example of a request that got a zone made on the same day: viewtopic.php?t=17445

Cheers,
Fozzie
